PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which prevents displacement of a recording paper sheet even when the device has a power saving mode. SOLUTION: The image formation device comprises a mechanical control part 10 with a transfer part lock mechanism 11, a controller part 20 for controlling the mechanical control part 10, and a power supply control part 30 for controlling at least power supply to the mechanical control part 10. The controller part 20 judges a state of the mechanical control part 10. When the power supply to the mechanical control part 10 is cut based on the judgement result to bring about a power saving state, the transfer part lock mechanism 11 is locked not to move the recording paper sheet.
