PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance production efficiency when an ink jet printer head and a head base are bonded. SOLUTION: With regard to a head base 1 and an ink jet printer head 2 bonded through a heat setting adhesive (e.g. an adhesive mixed with fillers for enhancing thermal conductivity) and secured by means of a jig, opposite side parts of the head base 1 and the ink jet printer head 2 are coated with UV-curing adhesive 6 which is then irradiated with UV-rays and cured. After the UV-curing adhesive 6 is cured, the head base 1 fixed with the ink jet printer head 2 is removed from the jig and placed in a furnace where the heat setting adhesive is heat set according its setting conditions. Consequently, an ink jet printer unit 7 can be handled under a state where the jig is removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
