PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor for power steering which can be reduced in weight and is capable of maintaining smooth rotation even if external force is applied to its housing. SOLUTION: The housing 17 constituting the brushless motor 6 is formed of aluminum lighter than iron materials. A stator 20 is fixed on the inner circumferential surface 17a of the housing 17, and a rotor 18 is housed inside the stator 20. The stator 20 comprises an outer core 24, an inner core 25, and teeth 27. The inner core 25 is disposed inside the outer core 24, and the teeth 27 are extended from the inner core 25 in the radial direction. The outer core 24 and the inner core 25 are pressure welded to each other with their radial outside faces 32a separated from each other at the radial outside ends of the teeth 27.
