PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems with conventional website updating methods wherein the contents of display need to be updated according to update date and time, with updates themselves requiring advanced knowledge; and wherein periodic updates of the same contents of display require updating operation for each case, requiring significant amounts of cost and time. SOLUTION: Comments with ID numbers are described in websites. A person 7 in charge of updates causes update information for part or the whole of the website 1 with an ID number, the period during which this information is displayed, and the requirements for repeated display to be registered in a database part 4 in which update information is stored. When a browser 6 browses the website 1, a display determining part 5 sends or does not send to a web server 9 the update information which corresponds to the ID number, the period of display, and the requirements for repeated display, from the database part 4 in which a plurality of pieces of update information are stored, whereby the system and method for automatically updating websites enable automatic updates of the Website 1.
