PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a through current flowing in a bridge circuit while the distortion of a reproduced signal is suppressed in a digital switching amplifier. SOLUTION: The digital switching amplifier is provided with the bridge circuit composed of a plurality of switching elements, it switches a constant voltage by controlling the switching elements of the bridge circuit and amplifies power. The amplifier is provided with a sound volume control part 29 deciding a sound volume and a dead time control part 23 setting dead time added to a control signal controlling the switching elements. When the sound volume is set to be small in the sound volume control part 29, dead time is made small. When the sound volume is set to be large, dead time is made large. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
