PURPOSE: A light source device and a display device are provided to maintain temperature of a light source as a predetermined value, consequently a spectral form change of an LED chip can be suppressed while brightness change or chromaticity change can be easily suppressed. CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor(201) detects a light from a light guide plate(104). A light source controller(202) controls a light source(106). A temperature controller(207) controls temperature of the light source(106). The optical sensor(201) detects a light emitted from a side of the light guide plate(104). The light source controller(202) controls luminous intensity of each light source included in the light source(106) by a feedback control based on a detection value detected by the optical sensor(201).
