PURPOSE: A lip seal wear sleeve is provided to expand the life span of a crankshaft and to reduce the maintenance and repair of a compressor by restricting the wear of a shaft caused by a boundary surface of a lip seal. CONSTITUTION: A crankshaft(18) used for a compressor having a lip seal(38) is composed of a first material for forming the crankshaft; a region formed on the crankshaft and combined to the lip seal; and a device for protecting the crankshaft from wear caused by friction-contacting with the lip seal. The protecting unit has a second material applied on the crankshaft to generate a hardened surface of the crankshaft on the region and a wear sleeve on the crankshaft. The wear sleeve is made from the second material that is worn out less than the first material while contacting with the lip seal.
