PURPOSE: An upgrade/backup method for a mobile terminal is provided to upgrade/backup safely, and guarantee the stability of the mobile terminal such as a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) by making only the certified image used for the upgrade. CONSTITUTION: As resetting the PDA, a standby state for updating a bootloader or a RAM is started. In the standby state, the system information of the PDA is transmitted to a PC application, and the PC application compares the system information with the image data and transmits the image data to the PDA in case of the recordable image data. As transmission is completed by storing the image data to the RAM of the PDA, the image data stored in the RAM is stored to a flash memory.
