PURPOSE: A brake system of a vehicle and an operation method thereof are provided to rapidly and quickly cope with a dangerous situation by variably controlling the pulse frequency driving an ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) proportionally to the wheel speed and braking the vehicle with the braking force optimized to the wheel speed. CONSTITUTION: A brake system of a vehicle includes a wheel speed sensor(100) detecting the rotational speed of vehicle wheels; an ABS actuator(200) controlling brake-hydraulic pressure given to a wheel cylinder of the vehicle wheels; and an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,300) variably controlling the driving frequency of the ABS proportionally to the wheel speed received from the wheel speed sensor from a point of time of determining a sudden braking situation, and outputting a control signal to the ABS actuator.
