摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loading applied on a general monitoring device from being inevitably increased, and obviate the necessity for a high-cost general monitoring device even if the scale of a system is increased. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination subsystem 2 includes a plurality of lighting fixtures 21 and an illumination controller 20 which controls them. A general monitoring device 1 has a power consumption monitoring portion 12 which monitors power consumption by the lighting fixtures 21 and issues a power reduction instruction to the illumination controllers 20 if power consumption monitored by the power consumption monitoring portion 12 must be reduced. The illumination subsystems and the general monitoring device are connected to the wiring L1 of a building equipment network. The management system is constructed as above. On receipt of a power reduction instruction from the general monitoring device 1, the illumination controller 20 determines the load output level lower than the present load output level with respect to at least some of the lighting fixtures 21 within the illumination subsystem 2 to which the controller belongs, and controls and operates them at the determined load output level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
