PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rescue device and a rescue method for an in-cell crane capable of remotely hoisting up/hoisting down an electric hoisting accessory of the in-cell crane when the electric hoisting accessory of the in-cell crane cannot be hoisted up/hoisted down due to a failure of the in-cell crane. SOLUTION: The rescue device 1 provided on an in-cell crane installed in a cell comprises a rescue hook 2 to grip a hanger body provided on an electric hoisting accessory of the failed in-cell crane, a chain block 3 to wind up/wind down the rescue hook 2, and a rescue hook guide mechanism 6 to guide the hook so that the wound-down rescue hook 2 is located in a vicinity of a zone from a hoist center Y3 of the rescue hook 2 to a center Y1 of the hanger body, and the rescue hook 2 automatically grips a hanger body and remotely wind the electric hoisting accessory and a load.
