<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of providing a vehicle characteristic easily controlled by reducing gain of behavior of the vehicle against steering torque by an inexpensive and simple system. <P>SOLUTION: The power steering device is provided with a steering torque sensor 17 for detecting steering torque of a driver generated in the steering state and the steering-keeping state; a vehicle speed sensor 18 for detecting a speed of the vehicle; an auxiliary steering torque generation means by a control unit 15 or the like for generating auxiliary steering torque based on the steering torque and the vehicle speed detected by these detection means.
