PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple and compact head cleaning device for an inkjet printer, which enables a recording head to be easily refreshed with rapidity. SOLUTION: This head cleaning device, which is to be used by being arranged between the recording head and a recording medium in the inkjet printer, is equipped with a main surface as large as/larger than an ink ejecting surface of the recording head; and the main surface includes a head cleaning member provided with many parallel fine ink ejecting grooves through which waste ink can flow directionally.
