PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of enhancing the operability of a user for a consecutive job task for the transmission of a plurality of originals. SOLUTION: When a consecutive transmission mode is set, wherein a plurality of image data read from the plurality of originals are consecutively transmitted, a scanner controller 42 continuously transmits the plurality of image data read from the plurality of originals by a scanner section 11 to a transmission destination set by the user using a consecutive transmission setting menu displayed on a touch panel 52.
