PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device capable of making a stable up-and-down movement of an operating part without inclining it. SOLUTION: Supporting members 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D with arm parts 4 and rack parts 5 combined are supported in free oscillation on a base plate 2. A ring-like rotating member 20 is supported in free rotation on a rear face of the operating part 10. The rack parts 5 are supported on the operating part 10 in free sliding. Further, rows of teeth of the rotating member 20 and those of the rack parts 5 are engaged with each other. The rotating member 20 rotates with the engagement of the rows of teeth when each support member 6A to 6D oscillates up and down to make each support member 6A to 6D oscillate in synchronization.
