PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating electrode having an ion generating capacity same as or exceeding that of a conventional Ni based electrode, and that, capable of sharply reducing an amount of generated ozone. SOLUTION: At least a tip part 27n of an ion generating electrode 27 generating ions by a discharge generated by impression of a high voltage is composed of a copper alloy containing zinc.
