PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information system, a storage system or the like enabling to facilitate the operation of recovering remote copies while making effective use of a communication path for performing the remote copies. SOLUTION: This information processing system includes a first information processor with a first communication port, a second information processor with a second communication port, and a communication means which provides two-way communications between the first and second communication ports. A first application program to be executed by the first information processor has a means which sets the first and second communication ports respectively as the sender and the destination of the data and uses the communication means for communications in that direction. A second application program to be executed by the second information processor has a means which sets the second and first communication ports respectively as the sender and the destination of the data and uses the communication means for communications in that direction.
