PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic display medium of which the yield is improved in the case a film is used as a substrate and, at the same time, in which disconnection of electrode leader lines and a display defect caused by repetition of bending and attaching to and detaching from an external device hardly occur. SOLUTION: The electronic display medium comprises a display layer 5 interposed between electrodes 2a, 2b. Each of a pair of substrates 1a, 1b has an opening part 3a or 3b in a non-display region, adjacent to a display region 1a1 or 1b1 superposed with the display layer 5, deviating from each other in position. The electrodes 2a, 2b have first electrode parts 2a1, 2b1 formed on the display regions of a pair of the substrates and second electrode parts 2a2, 2b2 spreading over positions different from the positions where the opening parts 3a, 3b are formed out of the non-display regions. The electronic display medium is equipped with a conductive member 8 which is in contact with the second electrode parts 2a2, 2b2 and which is viewed from the opening part 3a or 3b on one of the substrates opposite to the other substrate both of which have the second electrode parts formed thereon.
