PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying the kinds of light sources in photographing light sources from image signals being recorded under a specific photographing condition. SOLUTION: The light source (including the types of fluorescent lamps), based on black body radiation whose color temperature is known for minimizing the difference between sensor output value data being recorded by a light source (including the types of fluorescent lamps), based on the black body radiation of a known color temperature, and sensor output value data by the color temperature (including the types of fluorescent lamps) of the light source for illuminating the object being prepared in a plurality of numbers is set to be the types of photographing light sources. Concretely speaking, an evaluation value is obtained by using the spectral energy distribution of the black body radiation and the eigenvector of the object according to transmission concentration, where a negative film is subjected to photometry, and the light source (including the types of fluorescent lamps), based on the black body radiation whose color temperature, where the obtained value is minimized, is known is set to the type of photographing light source.
