PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which has improved usability by removing dust attached to a dust collecting means and enabling a user to recognize motion of the dust removing means. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleanser is equipped with an electric blower 5 to generate suction air, a dust collecting means 3 to collect dust, and a dust removing means 30 to remove dust attached to the dust collecting means 3. Noise generated when the dust removing means 30 performs operation to the dust collecting means 3 is larger than noise generated by the electric blower 5 acting on the dust collecting means 3.
