PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette filter capable of reducing the toxicity in cigarette smoking with an effect of a physiologically active substance by utilizing a silverberry seed extract. SOLUTION: This cigarette filter is constituted by immersing or anchoring an extract obtained by extracting the seeds of a plant of the genus Elaeagnus of Elaegnaceae. The silverberry seed extract is contained by≥0.5 wt.% of the cigarette filter. Thereby, since the silverberry seed extract is mostly liquid, it makes a contact with the smoke of the cigarette easily and it is possible to exhibit the pharmacological effect of the silverberry seed completely.
