DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A calcined dehydrogenation catalyst composition having iron and potassium supported on alumina and metal ions selected from e.g. indium, calcium, samarium, cerium, sodium, molybdenum and tungsten, zinc, manganese, copper and lanthanum. A process for preparing the catalyst and for dehydrogenating alkylaromatic hydrocarbon compounds is also provided.
