Relaxing cosmetic (A) with a temperature effect comprises 0.1-10 wt.% each of an extract (I) of the petals and/or seed capsules of Papaveraceae and an extract of the above ground parts of Menthae, and 80-99.8 wt.% cosmetic auxiliaries, carriers and/or active agents. An Independent claim is also included for preparation of (A) which comprises converting the plant extracts to powders of particle size 0.1-2.5 mum, dissolving them in a little water, then mixing with a self-emulsifying silicone gel at 60-65 degrees C and 600-1000 rpm, for 5-20 minutes.
