PURPOSE: A method for preparing a fluorescent whitening particle is provided, to prevent the generation of dust when a fluorescent whitening agent as a pigment is added to a synthetic resin and to allow the mixing ratio of the pigment and the synthetic resin to be controlled precisely. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of heating a wax to liquefy it; mixing the liquid wax with a fluorescent whitening agent in the ratio of 30:70 to 70:30 by weight, and stirring them; pouring the mixture into a frame and solidifying it; pulverizing the solidified one; and optionally extruding the pulverized one with an extruder to prepare a fluorescent whitening particle.
