Concealed toilet cistern (1) comprises a cistern body (2) having a rear wall (2b), a front wall (2a), an inspection opening (6), an inlet valve, an outlet valve (14), and in a lower region an outlet opening (30) connected to a flushing pipe (4). An external lower insulating layer (3) providing insulation against condensation water is attached to the rear wall and to the front wall in the water region of the cistern. The depth (A) of the cistern is 8 cm or less so that the cistern corresponds to a brick width of 8 cm and can be built into a building wall like a brick. Preferred Features: The insulation has a heat transfer coefficient in the K value range of 7-10 (W/m2K). The insulated cistern has a K value range of 4.5-6 (W/m2K).
