PURPOSE: An automatic ticket vending machine for issuing a complimentary ticket and a controlling method thereof are provided to reduce the man power by issuing automatically the complimentary ticket. CONSTITUTION: A passenger information display unit(120) receives a passenger's information. A keyboard/mouse(130) is used for inputting and managing data. A control unit(100) controls all operations of an automatic ticket vending machine. A voice guide unit(140) outputs the guide voice to the outside. IC reader(150) recognizes an identification card and outputs an identified result to the control unit. An input unit(160) selects the number of the complimentary tickets. A door sensor(170) is used for sensing an opening state of a door of the automatic ticket vending machine. An interphone(180) is connected to an interphone of a station office. A ticket-issuing unit(190) issues a ticket according to a control operation of the control unit. A ventilator(200) and a heater(210) are used for performing a ventilating operation and heating operation, respectively. A monitoring camera(220) is used for monitoring the passenger in front of the interphone.
