Grouping or discretization method for an attribute or a group of attributes derived from a database containing a population of individuals with the aim of predicting modalities for a given target attribute. The method comprises a number of steps in which the modalities of the attributes or attribute groups are divided into elementary regions and iterative search and fusion steps are applied.
