Device for position adjustment of a rotating body or plate cylinder with a direct drive in a rotary printing machine, whereby the plate cylinder (1) can be axially adjusted within a housing (4) and an electric motor direct drive is formed from a rotor (15) that is directly coupled to the cylinder and a fixed concentric stator (13) supported on the rotor. Rotor and stator are separated by roller bearings in an axially play-free manner. Stator and housing have an axial register drive (7) and driven draw spindle for their relative displacement. The invention also relates to a corresponding rotary print machine with an inventive position adjustment device.
