The present invention relates to an herbicide composition comprising, as active ingredients, a uracil compound represented by the following formula (I): <CHEM> wherein Z represents halogen or cyano; A represents oxygen, sulfur or NH; R<1> represents hydroxyl, C1-C7 alkoxy or others, and R<2> represents hydrogen or methyl, and one or more organophosphorus compounds selected from the group consisting of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, agriculturally acceptable salts of Glyphosate and ammonium DL-homoalanine-4-yl(methyl)phosphinate; and a method for controlling weeds which comprises applying an effective amount of said herbicide composition to weeds. <??>According to the invention, particularly weeds in orchards, cornfields, soybean fields, cotton fields and non-crop lands can be effectively controlled. |
