A method for controlling a marine vessel having at least two of a steering nozzle, a reversing bucket and a bow thruster is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving a vessel control signal from a vessel control apparatus, the vessel control signal corresponding to a movement of the control apparatus along at least one degree of freedom and generating at least a first actuator control signal and a second actuator control signal corresponding to the vessel control signal. The first actuator control signal is coupled to and controls one of the steering nozzle, the reversing bucket and the bow thruster, and the second actuator control signal is coupled to and controls a different one of the steering nozzle, the reversing bucket and the bow thruster. |
