<p>A small-scale water treatment plant has a container (12) for granular droplet bed (58) over a plastic sump (60) and a pump which returns water from the sump to the bed. The sump especially has a collection chamber (68) to which it is linked by a constricted apertures (84) in the container wall (66). The collector chamber has a float-regulated pump. The apertures are located in the lower part of the wall (66). The concrete container (12) is cylindrical and surrounds a ring-shaped droplet bed (58). The pump discharges to a vertical pipe upwards running outside the container wall, and discharging at the top to a T-sprinkler (72).</p> |
