PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling position of steel product sleeve on tension reel is provided to obtain convenience in use, easily perform sleeve fixing operation, shorten working hours, secure safety of workers and substantially prevent coiling defects by performing sleeve position selecting operation even without exchange of sleeve position selecting ring according to width of strip. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a double pipe shaped supporting part(10) an inner diameter ring(7) at one side of which is fixed to stopper(5) at inner side of the tension reel(100), on which an outer diameter ring(17) expanded from the inner diameter ring is arranged, and corners of one side of which are closely adhered to roller(22) of stripper(107) of the tension reel so that the supporting part is rotatable along with the tension reel; a double pipe shaped moving part(30) at one side of which grooves(33) respectively slidingly connected to corners of the other side of the supporting part are formed, at the other side of which a side plate(35) for supporting side of strip (S) is installed, and which is movable in a length direction of the tension reel for the supporting part; and a fixing part(40) comprising a connection ring(42) fixed to an outer side of the outer diameter ring of the supporting part, a plurality of long holes respectively formed on the connection ring in a length direction of the tension reel, and a fixed screw(46) inserted into the long holes from the outer side so that the fixed screw is connected to the moving part to fix position of the moving part for the supporting part.
