Fire prevention product for embedding in constructional units comprises a hybrid film system in which at least one film is coated with intumescent material. Independent claims are also included for: (1) fire prevention product for embedding in constructional units, comprising at least two at least partly transparent films of different chemical composition, at least one of which is fire-retardant; (2) silicate-based fire prevention film with a molar ratio between silicon dioxide and sodium oxide of 2.0-6.5; (3) silicate-based fire prevention film comprising refractory oxides or their precursors; (4) silicate-based fire prevention film comprising refractory oxides in the form of layered silicates; (5) silicate-based fire prevention film comprising Laponite (RTM); (6) fire prevention product produced by a continuous cascade process comprising laying down a film A, applying a film B onto film A and optionally applying other film(s) C, where films A, B and C are of different chemical composition and at least one is fire-retardant; (7) fire prevention glazing comprising a fire prevention product of film as above; (8) production of a hybrid transparent fire prevention film system by producing the film system in a continuous process.
