Tool system (1) for use with a robot, especially a gripper system comprises a support system (8) and a tool, especially a gripper (7), which it supports. The gripper system is positioned by the robot. A contact-free fault detection arrangement (14) is provided for detecting incorrect positioning of the gripper relative to its support system.
