The pump (16) has a pump housing (34) and a quantity control valve (24) with a valve housing (36). The valve housing is irreversibly and rigidly connected to a head section (32) of the pump housing. The valve housing is welded to the pump housing. The head section is implemented as an essentially flat adapter plate and the valve housing is connected to the adapter plate.
