The preformed part (1) for the fixing and stiffening of a plate-form cut-out section in a flat product has a yoke element (4) which by its ends is connected to the flat section (2) of the preformed part via connecting members (12,13) which are sized and arranged so that in the region of the free ends of the cut length in the product they penetrate the cut and thereby pass through the product. The distance between the flat section and yoke element corresponds to the thickness of the product at these points and also the thickness of the product in the course of the hinge line around which the preformed part hinges.
