Lift comprises a hydraulic drive, measurement signal sensors for determining system states, and at least one electronically controlled valve (10) with a control unit having an arrangement for feeding back at least the measurement signals of the hydraulic pressure and the valve piston position. At least one 3/3-way valve (21) is provided for controlling the drive. An Independent claim is also included for a process for controlling a hydraulically driven lift. Preferred Features: The drive is a hydraulic revolving cylinder engine or a hydraulic linear drive (9a).
