PURPOSE: An entanglement preventing device of a wire for a clothes drying stand is provided to improve the reliability, and to prevent wrong operation in loosening the wire by restricting entanglement of the wire wound on the winding roller for lifting up and down the support plate in winding or unwinding. CONSTITUTION: A clothes drying stand comprises a body(110) fixed to the ceiling; a driving unit(120) installed in the body to generate power; a wire entanglement restricting unit(130) installed at the side of the driving unit to prevent entanglement in winding first and second wires(150a,150b); a couple of support bars(140) faced to each other in the lower part of the body; plural hanging rods(142) connected between the support bars; and a lifting unit(150) having plural folding links(152) connected to the lower part of the body and the support bar. The wire entanglement restricting unit has a winding roller winding and unwinding the wires, first and second fixing plates opposed to each other at both sides of the winding roller, and plural entanglement restricting pieces combined with the fixing plates to prevent entanglement of the wires.
