PURPOSE: A functional mask is provided to absorb, filter, sterilize, disinfect and destroy the contaminated air by a breathing portion of the mask being multilayered so that any outside air except for the air for breathing is not invaded through a mouth and a nose. CONSTITUTION: The functional mask comprises a multilayer reinforcement piece(4) made of woven or non-woven fabric in a breathing portion(3) of the middle of the inside of a mask body(1); elastic flaps(6,6') elastically supported by an elastic string(5) with plate type magnets(24,24') in the left and right ends of the mask body; elastic flaps(7,7') elastically sewn by an elastic connection portion(8) in the lower end of the mask body; an elastic link in a T shape for fixing a filter body in the breathing portion(3) in the left side of the mask body; a velcro on the circumference of the left side; and a mask cover.
