The measurement device has a scanner with a program-controlled movable holder to which at least one laser interferometer measurement head is attached and with which the measurement head can be moved to the measurement points. The scanner is programmed so that the measurement head is moved to the measurement points at a preselected distance from the object. The measurement device has at least one laser interferometer (2) with a scanner (6,7,11) that directs the measurement beam (4) towards different measurement points (5) to produce a scanning motion, a data acquisition device (9) that correlates vibration data and position data and an evaluation or display device (10). The scanner has a program-controlled movable holder (6) to which at least one laser interferometer measurement head is attached and with which the head can be moved to the measurement points, whereby the scanner is programmed so that the head is moved to the measurement points at a preselected distance from the object.
