A scraper device is provided herein. Such scraper device is preferably a bottom scraper arranged at the bottom of a continuous digester for pulp production. The scraper comprises at least one scraper arm, preferably arranged with shovel members, a shaft and a drive device for driving the scraper arm. An axially-extending bore is provided inside the shaft for supplying liquid. A sealing arrangement is provided for sealing between the atmosphere and the medium in which the scraper arm is intended to rotate. The bore extends along only a limited part of the shaft at that end of the shaft on which the scraper arm is arranged.
