BASE LUBRICATING OIL PRODUCTION PROCESS

FIELD: petrochemical processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: process involves preliminary removal of part of organics from petroleum fraction with lubricating oil boiling range using selective extraction followed by dewaxing of selective extraction product. The latter is then routed to following steps: (i) contacting base lubricating oil product with appropriate sulfidized catalyst in the first hydrofining process stage; (ii) separating effluent from stage (i) into gas and liquid fractions; (ii) contacting liquid fraction from stage (ii) with catalyst including precious metal component deposited on amorphous refractory oxide carrier in presence of hydrogen in the second hydrofining process stage; and (iv) recovering base lubricating oil. ^ EFFECT: developed process for producing group II base lubricating oils complying with American Petroleum Institute norms from oil fraction with high level of sulfur and/or nitrogen compounds. ^ 9 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
