FIELD: mining industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method includes extraction and treatment of powder probes with following determining of contained amounts of combustive and non-combustive particles in the probe and comparing to minimally acceptable values. Amounts of combustive and non-combustive contents is determined by means of separation of dust probe on basis of density in heavy environment onto light and heavy fractions with following measurements of their volumes.
