FIELD: biotechnology, genetic engineering, microbiology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention proposes the yeast strain Pichia angusta VKM Y-2924D as a producer of recombinant surface antigen of hepatitis B virus of subtype yaw. The strain has been generated by insertion the DNA sequence into yeast cells that encodes HbsAg/ayw and fused with gene MOX promoter and gene TRP3. The strain provides high yield of recombinant antigen of hepatitis B virus serotype yaw using the more simple methods used for preparing cultures with high cell density.
