METHOD FOR PROVIDING CALLER ID IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for providing a caller ID in a mobile communication system is provided to transmit an SMS message including a caller ID in the case that incoming call fail. CONSTITUTION: A user of a calling terminal sends a call to a telephone number of a callee terminal, the calling terminal generates an SMS(Short Message Service) message and adds an SMS identifier to call incoming information(S400). The calling terminal transmits the generated SMS message to a mobile communication network with the call incoming information(S402). An MSC(Mobile Switching Center) transmits the SMS message and the call incoming information to an SMSC(Short Message Service Center) to transmit the SMS message and the call incoming information to the callee terminal(S404). The MSC tries call connection to the callee terminal(S406). The MSC judges success of the call connection(S408). If call connection succeeds, the MSC sends the call to the callee terminal(S412). The callee terminal stores the SMS identifier included in the call incoming information(S414). The SMSC transmits the corresponding SMS message to the callee terminal(S416). The callee terminal deletes the stored SMS message by using the SMS identifier(S418).
