PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring WDCS performance are provided to prevent loss of data and reduce load of an operator by centralizing several WDCS performance monitoring data to one server and automating it. CONSTITUTION: WDCSs(10a-10n) transmit digital data and connect corresponding paths, and are positioned in each transmission chamber. A LAN(20a) connects a performance monitoring server(30) and multiple WDCSs(10a-10n). A LAN(20b) connects the performance monitoring server(30) and several terminals(50-70). The performance monitoring server(30) is connected to the WDCS(10a-10n) by Telnet through the LAN(20a) and collects and stores data on a real time basis, and monitors alarming The remotely controlled terminal(50) remotely monitors alarming and performs an MMC(Man Machine Command) on the WDCS, A wire mapping management terminal(70) includes software supporting updated line number content. An operator terminal(60) shares data with the performance monitoring server(30).
