METHOD FOR RECORDING LINKING AREA DATA ON ROM TYPE HIGH DENSITY OPTICAL DISC, AND ROM TYPE HIGH DENSITY OPTICAL DISC

PURPOSE: A linking area data recording method and an ROM type high density optical disc are provided to perform a definite servo operation while maintaining an interoperability with a rewritable high density optical disc like a BD-RE. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A recording frame of a certain size is recorded in a linking area on a data record area of an ROM type high density optical disc which corresponds to a run-out area and a run-in area of a rewritable blue ray disc. The user data within each recording frame is recorded in the linking area where the user data within one recording frame is different from that within another recording frame or the user data within one recording frame is the same as that within another recording frame.
