PURPOSE: An air breather for an axle of a vehicle is provided to make only air in the axle flow out while preventing leakage of oil in the axle, when the air in the axle flows out through an air vent by the rise in the inner temperature and pressure of the axle. CONSTITUTION: An air breather for an axle of a vehicle comprises a preventive mechanism(50) disposed to the axle, to make air in the axle flow out and prevent leakage of oil in the axle, and a cover(65) combined to the upper part of the preventive mechanism, with a gap through which air flows out. The preventive mechanism comprises an air vent(52) formed to a side of the axle and a preventive plate(54) combined to the upper end of the air vent, to intercept leakage of oil. A sealing member(62) secondarily intercepting leakage of oil is installed between the preventive mechanism and the cover. |
