SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING THEFT OF AUDIO SYSTEM BY USING GPS

PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing the theft of an audio system by using a GPS(Global Positioning System) are provided to find a lost audio system, to improve the reliability of a product and to prevent a theft by accurately informing of the present position of the lost audio system. CONSTITUTION: A theft sensing unit(14) for sensing the connection of an audio system with a connector is formed in the audio system. A control unit(12) controls the activation of the anti-theft function by receiving the signal of the theft sensing unit. A GPS receiving unit(11) receiving the signal transmitted from a satellite is prepared in the audio system. A signal generating unit(13) emits a signal for informing of the present position of the audio system by receiving the information transmitted from the GPS receiving unit. An input unit(15) cancels the anti-theft function.
