PURPOSE: A display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to form an auxiliary wiring connected to an upper electrode without increasing processes. CONSTITUTION: A display device(1) comprises a plurality of lower electrodes(9) patterned in each of pixels on a substrate(3); an auxiliary wiring(9a) made of a layer same as that of the lower electrodes, and disposed in such a manner as to maintain an insulation from the corresponding lower electrode; an insulation film(7) having pixel openings(A) for exposing centers of the lower electrodes and connection holes(17a) reaching the auxiliary wiring, wherein the insulation film is formed on the substrate; an organic layer(11) patterned to coat the bottoms of the pixel openings; and an upper electrode(13) covering the organic layer, wherein the upper electrode is connected to the auxiliary wiring through the connection holes.
